Like no other building, the Wulfener Markt embodies the young but eventful history of the New Town of Wulfen on the northern edge of the Ruhrgebiet. Built in 1983 by Josef Paul Kleihues, the arcade is now empty and will be demolished after only 40 years of life.
During one week, the material (stones) and immaterial (voices) heritage of the Wulfener market has been explored and turned into an exhibition during the Ruhrmoderne Summer School in Wulfen-Barkenberg.
